Enroll for Your 2024 Employer Sponsored Healthcare Plans

December 7th - 14th, 2023

The only time of year to opt in, out, or make changes to your employer sponsored healthcare plans (Pending a qualifying life event)

It's that time of year again. Open Enrollment ("OE") is your only opportunity to shop for, adjust, terminate, and enroll in employer sponsored healthcare benefits. The only exception is a new hire enrollment period or a qualifying life event. Please review all the information on this page carefully ahead of the enrollment period.

Important Healthcare Plan Updates for 2024

As your Employer of Record, PGC works with our insurance broker each year to source and secure the best possible healthcare plans at the lowest price. We have witnessed significant increases across all providers with several external factors driving this including inflation, repercussions of COVID19 and uptake in usage of medical services along with the current economical climate.

After intensive negotiations with our 2023 healthcare insurance carrier we have decided to transfer to a new provider as the existing was unable to offer competitive pricing in line with market averages. We've opted to transition to Aetna as the provider of your healthcare plans in 2024. Here's the main changes to be aware of before enrolling in your benefits for next year.

Our New Healthcare Carrier is Aetna

Your new employer sponsored healthcare plans will be through Aetna, a top US healthcare carrier with 22 million+ members. Additional benefits of utilising Aetna healthcare plans include:

  • Passive enrollment process due to 99% match with the healthcare plans provided via last year's provider.
  • CVS owns Aetna, once you have a medical plan with Aetna most plans provide access to:
    • CVS Minute Clinic

    • Teladoc

    • 24-hour nursing line

HSA 2024 Limits

For HSA, the 2024 annual limits will be $4,150 per year for an individual, and $8,300 per year for a family.

Silver, Gold and Platinum Plans to Choose From

We will continue to offer 3 levels of healthcare coverage via Aetna. You can personalize your benefits with premium medical plans and ancillary options.

Silver Healthcare Plan

The base silver healthcare plan will be available via Aetna for 2024. Review the plan costing for 2024.

Open Enrollment FAQ

Frequently asked questions on your employer sponsored healthcare plans and preparing for the open enrollment process.

Your Enrollment Options for 2024

Open Enrollment for 2024 will be passive. This means if you're already enrolled in healthcare benefits via PGC, and don't make changes, you will automatically be enrolled in the same level of coverage. Despite changing healthcare carriers from 2023, the plans have a 99.72% match rate, with no significant changes. All benefit offerings (including HSA and commuter elections) will be passively enrolled.

You will not need to take any action if you are satisfied with your current employer sponsored healthcare coverage. However, we highly recommend you review any plan changes in the next section.

Open Enrollment Begins

Make your employer sponsored healthcare plan elections from Thurday December 7th, 2023.

Benefits Election Deadline

All benefit elections must be made for the next plan year by Thursday, December 14th, 2023.

Want to make changes to your HSA or commuter benefit plans for 2024?

If you wish to make changes to your HSA or Commuter Benefits deferrals during Open Enrollment, or enroll in these benefits for the first time, please be aware that the annual HSA and Commuter Benefits limits will increase in 2024.

Please review the contribution increases to these benefits in the section of this page.

Happy with your current coverage?

If you enrolled in the healthcare plans for 2023 offered via PGC, you will remain on the plan with the coverage you selected by default 2024, with the new pricing, if you don't make any changes during open enrollment.

If you didn't enroll in the healthcare plans offering via PGC in 2023 and if no new elections are made during OE no action is needed.

Don't have benefits coverage?

It is important to note, if you currently do not have benefits coverage through PGC and wish to have coverage beginning in 2024, you will need to make your elections during the assigned Open Enrollment period.

Benefits Eligibility

Please note that only full-time employees (averaging 30+ hours per week) are eligible for benefits.

We recommend that you carefully review the plans, so that you are familiar with all the offerings, 2024 benefit pricing, and can confirm that all your information is correct.

Why is it important to review your coverage for 2024?

Your employer sponsored healthcare plan choices can have a big impact on your health care experience and expenses. Therefore, it is important that you consider your options carefully and find the benefits that are right for you and your family.
